About the event
The idea of the Open Studio is simple - gates are 'open' betwen 13:00 and 18:00 for you to come and see what a natural dye studio looks like, get to know the dye plants growing in the garden, and see some of my finished work.
You can count on having some simple activities with natural color, light refreshments, and a unique oportunity to shop directly from the showroom.
Make patterns on a community fabric with fresh indigo and dye yourself a eco printed postcard with seasonal dye flowers to take home. Interested in taking home one of my plant dyed wearable art pieces? The showroom is getting full of colorful textiles in preparation for a autumn season full of markets and events - you'll get first choice!
Oh, and did I mention that you can pick your own bouquet of dye flowers and collect seeds? Totally free of charge (within reason, please don't come to deforest the garden).
